Taapsee doesn't get good films due to rumours:

Taapsee during a recent interview said that even after signing the film, she still can't believe that she is a part of the film. Rumor in the industry is that he only does films in which he is in the lead role. Due to which many projects go out of their hands. Due to these rumours, big directors hesitate to approach him for a good side role.

Raju sir offered me 'Dunky' after watching many of my films - Taapsee In an interview to Bollywood Hungama, Taapsee said, 'Not everyone is like Rajkumar Hirani sir. They need no comfort zone. He offered 'Dunky' only after watching many films. This was a beautiful truth. That's why I was not convinced until the first schedule of the film was completed.

Taapsee said, 'People didn't believe that I was a part of this film', people at home were asking me, 'Are you in the film?' Didn't fire you? In fact, a year and a half before the film went on floors, people were telling me that Raju sir might be considering other actors as well. However, there was nothing like that from Raju sir. He believed in me. Because of this, it was difficult to accept that I was doing this film.

He also talked about what people's perception is about Taapsee in the film industry, about not getting work in good projects due to false rumours . He said, 'It's a big misconception that I'm tired of clearing up. It is often said that I don't do films if my character is not central to the film. I don't know who is spreading all these things against me.' Taapsee continued, 'I think this could be one of the reasons why many big films don't come to me because it is believed that I won't do it.'
