The threat of 'lone wolf' attacks
According to a report by Times of India, ISIS-K has only threatened the India-Pakistan match. The group released a threatening video and asked its assailants to carry out a 'lone wolf' attack (one attacker) on the India-Pakistan match, after which the Nassau County Police Department went on extra alert.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder was quoted as saying that every type of threat is taken seriously when such an incident occurs and there are such large crowds, but in recent times it has focused on the India-Pakistan cricket match.
