Surat: 54 mobile phones were seized from a person who was stealing in the guise of passengers, watch the video

Surat: Surat's Khatodara police have caught a Ridha thief who was stealing and snatching mobile phones by telling the passengers to move back and forth in the auto rickshaw and have solved 8 crimes. The police have also declared two gang members wanted.

The accused used to commit the crime of theft by forming a gang which was re-boarding passengers in autorickshaws in different areas of Surat city. They used to steal the attention of the passengers on the pretext of crowd. 54 mobile phones have been seized from the accused.

Gangs stealing mobile phones of passengers sitting in rickshaws have been active in different areas of Surat city for some time now. The Khatodara police team has succeeded in nabbing the thief during the police watch. On receiving information that two unknown persons were returning to sell stolen mobile phones near Rupali Canal in Surat, the police set up a watch and nabbed the suspects. Police have seized 54 mobile phones from the accused.
