Share Market Opening Bell: The impact of the weak global signal has also been seen on the Indian stock market. Today, Thursday 25 July 2024, the stock market started with a big fall. Key stock market indices Sensex and Nifty opened down 0.7%.
The Indian stock market has opened below the red mark for the second consecutive day after the budget. At the opening of today's trade, the Sensex was seen down 606 points at 79542. On the other hand Nifty opened the trade with a loss of 182 points at 24230.

Weak signals from global markets
The Dow Jones closed down 504 points, the S&P 500 index 129 points, the Nasdaq 655 points and the Russell 2000 index closed down 48 points. A day of heavy selling saw total US market capitalization drop by nearly $1.1 trillion. The tech index slipped 4.1%. Apart from this, a decline of up to 3.7% was seen in the Consumer Discretionary and Communication Index. The Bank of Canada has cut interest rates by 25 basis points for the second time in a row.
Asian markets are also showing weakness. Japan's Nikkei index fell for a sixth consecutive day. The index slipped 2.6% at the start of work. The yen also appears stronger against the dollar for the fourth day. South Korea's Kospi index also fell by 1.8%. There are also signs of weakness from China's Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index. Taiwan's markets are closed for the second day in a row due to the storm.
Which companies will declare their results today?
Today L&T, Axis Bank, SBI Life, JSPL, Sona BLW, IEX, DCB Bank, Karnataka Bank, Nestle India, Canara Bank, Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions, Laurus Labs, MGL, Ramco Cements, Ujjivan SFB, VST Industries and Many other companies will announce results for the April-June quarter.
