Share Market Opening Bell: Today Monday, the first business day of the week, the stock market has started in green. The effect of mixed global signals can be seen on the Indian market. Gift Nifty has crossed the record level of 22500. Asian and American futures markets have mixed action. Earlier on Saturday, the Sensex closed up 60 points at 73,806 on a special trading day.

Signals of global markets

Talking about the global markets, the American futures market can see a flat performance right now. Asian markets may see a surge. American markets closed higher on Friday. The Dow Jones closed up nearly a quarter of a percent. The S&P 500 index also closed up 0.8% and the Nasdaq gained more than 1%. All three indices closed at new highs.

Talking about the Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei index managed to cross 40,000 for the first time today. Today it represents an increase of over 1%. South Korea's Kospi index is also up one and a half percent. There is growth in Taiwan's market.

Statistics of FIIs-DII

Foreign institutional investors sold ₹1,089 crore in the cash market last week despite US bond yields at 4.2%. February saw total selling by FIIs of ₹16,000 crore. It was ₹36,000 crore in its last month.

However, since August 2023, DII has continued to buy in the cash market. The market stability and record highs are also being attributed to buying by local institutional investors.
