Share Market Opening Bell: On the last business day of the week, the trading of the Indian stock market has started in the green mark. Today Sensex opened up 0.13 percent and Nifty up 0.28 percent.

Share Market Opening Bell: On the last business day of the week, the trading of the Indian stock market has started in the green mark. Today Sensex opened up 0.13 percent and Nifty up 0.28 percent. Sensex opened at 76912 while Nifty opened at 23464. The all-time high of the Sensex in the stock market is 77,145.46 which was recorded on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, the stock market closed at a new high on the weekly expiry day. The Sensex closed up 204.33 points or 0.26% at 76,810.90 on the fourth trading day of the week. On the other hand, the Nifty gained 75.96 points by 0.33% points to 23,398.90.

An indication of global markets

In the US market, the S&P 500 index and the Nasdaq closed at record levels for the fourth straight day. Treasury yields in the US have slipped to their lowest levels since April. Yesterday, the Dow Jones closed down 65 points. On the other hand, the S&P 500 index closed at a record high with a gain of about a quarter percent and the Nasdaq gained 60 points. European markets closed lower. Auto stocks saw the most pressure.

Talking about Asian markets, mixed business is seen here today. The Bank of Japan will decide on interest rates today. It is estimated that the BoJ will keep interest rates at 0% – 0.1% but the central bank may decide to reduce its holdings of government bonds here. Japan's Nikkei index is trading around a quarter of a percent lower. South Korea's Kospi index is flat. Hang Seng futures are also showing signs of weakness.

Statistics of FIIs-DII

Foreign and domestic institutional investors sold the cash market on Thursday. FIIs sold shares worth ₹ 3,033 crore in the cash market yesterday. Whereas, DII also sold shares worth ₹554 crore on the same day.
