The board of directors of the brokerage company has declared the first interim dividend for FY25. The board had declared an interim dividend of ₹0.40 per share, which is 20 percent of the face value of Share India shares. The announcement was made after the company's board meeting on Thursday. The brokerage firm has fixed August 2, 2024 as the record date for finalizing the payment of this interim dividend to the eligible shareholders.
While informing the Indian stock market exchanges about the interim dividend, the brokerage firm said, “We are pleased to inform you that in the meeting of the board of directors of the company held today i.e. on July 25, 2024, inter alia, the first interim announcement was made. Rs. 2 on each equity share of face value of Rs. A dividend of 0.40 (forty paise only) will be paid.

“Further, Friday, August 2, 2024, has been fixed as the record date for the payment of the 1st interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25 as well as for the purpose of ensuring the eligibility of the shareholders for the final dividend for the financial year. 2023-24, if approved by the shareholders in the next annual general meeting of the company,” the company said.
Dividend yield is as much as bank FD in FY24
As mentioned above, Share India's dividend declared in one year or FY24 is ₹12.50 per share. A year ago Share India's share price was around ₹240. So, if a shareholder of Share India holds the scrip for one year, the net dividend earned on his shareholding will be around 5.50 per cent, which is almost equal to the fixed deposit interest rates offered by most Indian banks over this time frame.
