Sensex Opening Bell: Stock market opens with red mark; Sensex falls another 600 points, Nifty falls below 22000
Sensex Opening Bell: On Friday, the Sensex fell nearly 600 points to below 72,000, while the Nifty fell nearly 150 points to 21,800. IT, metal and PSU banking stocks witnessed the biggest selling on the last trading day of the week.
Stock Market Opening Bell: Asian markets are down due to war situation between Israel and Iran. Talking about the domestic equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty, they are also not doing well and have fallen sharply. Sensex fell below 71900 and Nifty below 21900 in early trading. There is also strong selling pressure in smallcap and midcap. None of the Nifty sector indices are green today. This resulted in a decline of Rs 3.71 lakh crore in the market cap of companies listed on the BSE today, meaning that investor wealth fell by Rs 3.71 lakh crore as soon as the market opened.
Now on the equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex is currently down 608.50 points or 0.84% at 71880.49 and Nifty 50 is down 182.80 points or 0.83% at 21813.05. A trading day ago Sensex closed at 72488.99 and Nifty at 21995.85.
A trading day earlier i.e. on April 18, 2024, the total market cap of all shares listed on BSE was Rs. 3,92,89,048.31 crores. It stood at Rs 3,89,17,408.51 crore as soon as the market opened today i.e. on April 19, 2024. It means that the investor's capital is Rs. 3,71,639.8 crore has decreased.
Sensex has no stocks in green zone

55 shares at a one-year high
2384 shares are being traded on BSE today. Among these, 562 stocks are bullish, 1718 are bearish and 104 are unchanged. Apart from this, 55 shares fell to a one-year high and 11 shares fell to a one-year low. While 57 shares reached the upper circuit, 41 shares reached the lower circuit.
