It has been five years since the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday.

The Pulwama terror attack took place on February 14, 2019. This is considered to be one of the worst terrorist attacks on India. On this dark day, terrorists targeted a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy with a vehicle loaded with 200 kg of explosives. In the terror attack, 40 CRPF jawans were martyred, while 35 were injured. The CRPF convoy consisted of 78 vehicles, carrying over 2500 personnel.

The terrorist attack in Pulwama was carried out by Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. The head of this terrorist organization is Masood Azhar. India responded to the Pulwama terror attack in less than two weeks.
