Rakesh Tikait is nowhere to be seen despite the big movement of farmers, where has he disappeared?
Due to non-agreement on MSP and some other demands, farmers' organizations have marched towards Delhi. But Rakesh Tikait is nowhere to be seen in this farmers' agitation. Where is Tikait and what is his planning, let us know.
Despite the tireless efforts of the Indian government, the farmers' organizations did not agree to the government's demand and are now moving towards Delhi. Union Minister Arjun Munda, Commerce Minister and Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal met the leaders of farmers' organizations twice and tried to understand their demands. But the talks collapsed due to no firm assurance from the government on MSP and loan waiver. Finally the farmers announced to march towards Delhi.
Farmers' efforts like the 2020 agitation will have to take the agitation to such a level that the government will have to bend to their demands like last time. However, one person is currently missing from this protest, and that is Rakesh Tikait. Rakesh Tikait became an icon of the earlier farmers' movement. The question is where is Tikait this time and what is he planning?
Organized Rakesh Tikait!
Rakesh Tikait is the National Spokesperson of the Indian Kisan Union. Tikait may not appear in this movement but he has denied another movement. Tikait has said that on February 16, his 'Kisan Samyukta Morcha' will protest and block roads across the country. What is the future strategy of the organization of Tikait and the farmers associated with it, Tikait will also tell on February 16.
Tikait's last tweet
If we check Rakesh Tikait's twitter handle, Tikait has made a big allegation on the center and claimed the arrest of farmer leaders to thwart the Bharat Bandh of February 16. Tikait has claimed through social media that 'On the instructions of the central government, Anil Yadav and Aradhana Bhargava, the state president of Bharatiya Kisan Union in Madhya Pradesh, have been arrested and sent to jail by the police.' Tikait has announced the release of these leaders with immediate effect. Tikait's last tweet is dated February 11.
The matter reached the Supreme Court
The president of the Supreme Court Bar Association expressed fear of unrest in Delhi due to farmers' agitation. The association argued that this would affect people's daily lives. The Supreme Court also took cognizance of this and Supreme Court Chief Justice of India YD Chandrachud asked anyone who is facing traffic problem to let us know.
Farmers here have said that whether they are fired upon or lathi-charged, they will continue their peaceful protest and will not clash with anyone. Farmers have two main demands. First, they want that there should be a legal guarantee of minimum support price i.e. MSP and secondly, there should be loan waiver of farmers without any conditions.
