After the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise Policy case, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold nationwide protests. Aam Aadmi Party leaders Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Sandeep Pathak and Atishi announced this in a press conference and said that our fight will continue from the streets to the courts. Gopal Rai said that after long sacrifices this country got the constitution and it gave the right to elect the people's representatives, but today the whole country is shocked that PM Modi has arrested the Chief Minister who was elected with a huge majority even as the matter is pending in court.

He said that it has been announced today that anyone who dares to speak against the BJP and its government will be arrested. BJP has insulted crores of people. This is the arrest of two crore people of Delhi, those who love the country's democracy have been arrested.

Demonstration at BJP headquarters

He said that if BJP thinks that by arresting Arvind Kejriwal they will destroy AAP and intimidate the opposition then they are wrong. Everyone will fight this battle together. We have decided that we will protest this arrest at BJP headquarters at 10 am today. The exhibition will be held across the country.

'If you dare, face the election'

AAP MP Sandeep Pathak said that he wants to tell BJP that if you have courage, enter the election field, why are you attacking from behind by making false cases. We have staked everything for this country. Now it is a battle between the people of this country and the BJP. All countrymen and public are requested to come and tell now that there is an Arvind Kejriwal in every family.

Our fight from the street to the court

Delhi government minister and AAP leader Atishi said that neither CBI nor ED got a single penny in 2 years of investigation, but Arvind Kejriwal was arrested as soon as the election was announced. He said two chief ministers have been arrested, one party account has been seized. Stop politicizing ED as a weapon, our fight will go from streets to courts. Atishi said that we have petitioned the Supreme Court against the arrest. There is a hearing in the Supreme Court this morning.

Will other opposition parties join the protest?

On this question, Gopal Rai said that today we have an open protest, everyone who is against this dictatorship is welcome. Atishi said that the Congress leaders asked us to inform them, all the people of the INDIA coalition are together in this fight.
