Possibility of civil war after elections in Pakistan, speculation of scam by Army Chief, Jinnah's country will become Bangladesh again?
Tensions are rising in Pakistan after the election results. There are allegations that the election results were rigged at the behest of the army. Suddenly Nawaz Sharif won from Lahore when he was far behind. Meanwhile, experts have warned that times ahead are going to be stressful.
The supporters of Imran Khan's party PTI have shocked everyone in the general elections of Pakistan. Imran Khan's supporters contested the elections as independent candidates and won spectacularly. Independent candidates are showing their magic in more than 100 seats. The election results have made it clear that any government will be formed with the help of these independent MPs.
Anger and frustration among Pakistani voters
Allegations are being made that the Pakistan Army is engaged in scams to promote the party of Nawaz Sharif or Bilawal, seeing the election results not going in their favour. An example of this is Nawaz Sharif, who was trailing the PTI candidate after counting 70 percent of the votes till night, but has now suddenly been declared the winner from the Lahore seat. This is now causing anger and frustration among Pakistani voters. Experts have warned that this anger could turn into a civil war-like situation.
Nawaz Sharif is on his way to power
According to experts on Pakistani affairs, such a long delay in announcing election results in Pakistan raises serious questions about fraud. Talking to a private portal, he said that this is unusual and hinted at a behind-the-scenes machination.
He said that for the past few weeks there have been indications that Nawaz Sharif is on the way to power but now he faces a big challenge. Waseem said that the Pakistan Army had carried out a cycle of repression against Imran's supporters and tortured them and now the stakes of his move have been reversed.
A 'civil war' may break out in Pakistan
He further said that I don't think Nawaz Sharif or his party expected this. This is the reason why he was quiet since night. He was confident of his victory, but voters seem not to be interested. Another analyst says that the Pakistani army chief has worked on an important strategy. Asim Munir very cleverly used the strategy of divide and rule like the British.
Instead of favoring only one party in this election, he has created many 'gossipers'. Now every such leader will act as a spy for the army chief and work for him. With this, whoever becomes the prime minister will be weak and the army chief will have full power.
Army does not want to give power to Imran Khan
Pakistan affairs expert Michael Kugelman says the PTI will not accept if the end result is anything other than a victory for Imran's party. PTI will call it rigging. He said that it is clear that the army does not want to hand over power to Imran Khan and has interfered in the entire process.
He said that whatever the outcome of this election, it could push Pakistan into a new political crisis instead of bringing stability. This will further widen the gap in the society which is already wide. This could trigger a new legal battle and risk inciting a public uprising. There is a caveat to this, he said. Sena can force independent PTI MPs to join any party in next 3 days. Be it Nawaz Sharif's party or Bilawal's party.
