Political battle between BJP and BJD heats up in Odisha, Ashwini Vaishnav surrounds Naveen Patnaik
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has hit back at BJD's allegations of no development work by the central government in Odisha. He has presented the data of development works done in the field of telecom connectivity and railway network especially on social media platform X.
Voting for the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections is going to be held, which will be held in 6 seats of Odisha out of 57 Lok Sabha seats in 8 states. Ashwini Vaishnav has shared two figures on social media platform X. In one, he shared new data related to telecom connectivity in the state, while the other data related to expansion of railway network. Presenting both the figures, the Union minister slammed the state's BJD government and accused it of spreading false propaganda against the Centre.
20 thousand new towers were built in ten years
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav wrote on social media – BJD is saying that telecom connectivity here is bad but the truth is that in 2014 the number of towers here was 7,562 while in 2024 the number of towers will reach 28,274.
1,826 km railway line in ten years
Regarding the expansion of the railway network, he also wrote that BJD is saying that not a single new railway line has been laid here in the last 6 years, when the truth is that 1,826 km were laid in the last 10 years during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A railway line has been laid in Odisha. He said this is more than the total railway network of Sri Lanka.
