Narmada: Worker drowned after falling in Sardar Sarovar Dam, watch video

Narmada: A worker went missing after falling into the deep water at the foot of the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat's Jivadora. His dead body was found despite the efforts made by the fire brigade team to search. Police have moved the dead body for postmortem and are investigating the matter.

According to the information received by Hareshkumar Ambalal Patel, a contractor from Ahmedabad, one of his workers Trushikkumar Yogeshbhai Tadvi was sent to work near the steel basing on the downstream side of Sardar Sarovar Dam. In the afternoon he went to wash his hands at the water bank of Steeling Bay, and accidentally slipped his foot and fell into the deep water. The management was immediately informed when the worker fell into the deep water. A search operation was carried out with the help of fire fighters and the body of the missing worker was finally recovered after struggling with rocks.
