MP Parimal Nathwani presents his book 'Call of the Gir' to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Appreciating Nathwani's commitment to bring out this beautiful coffee table book, the Prime Minister said that he has responded to the 'call of the gir' (girna saad) by balancing the responsibilities of professional and public life. 'Call of the Gir' is another coffee-table book by Nathwani.
Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani today gifted the first copy of his new book 'Call of the Gir' to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a small family get-together at the Prime Minister's Residence. On this occasion, Nathwani has dedicated his book to the Prime Minister as the visionary of 'Project Lion and Lion@2047: Amritkaalni Parikalpana'. The Prime Minister's message is also included in this book.
In an informal interaction with Nathwani after releasing the book, the Prime Minister discussed the tourism of Gir and emphasized the need to increase infrastructure to attract foreign tourists to Gir. He also said that there is an urgent need to intensify afforestation around the Gir Sanctuary.

'Call of the Gir' is another coffee-table book by Nathwani. It is published by renowned international publisher Quignog. Earlier in 2017, Nathwani wrote the book 'Gir Lions: Pride of Gujarat', which was published by Times Group Books (TGB).
Parimal Nathwani, Member of Rajya Sabha and Director of Corporate Affairs, Reliance Industries Limited thanked the Prime Minister for his respectful acceptance of the book. He said that it is a matter of great pride for me that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has patiently watched this book. Earlier when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat and now he is the Prime Minister of India, he has done a lot of work for the breeding and protection of Asiatic Lions in Gir, Gujarat.
