Khattar government will fall after coalition breakup in Haryana, know what assembly math says
Political heat is intense in Haryana. The alliance of BJP and JJP may break. In fact, no agreement could be reached between the two parties regarding seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections. After the breakup of the alliance, the question arises whether Haryana's strong government will fall?
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janayak Janata Party (JJP) may split in Haryana. Lack of consensus on seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections may break their alliance. Haryana Deputy CM and JJP leader Dushyant Chautala met BJP President JP Nadda on Monday, but no agreement could be reached on seat sharing. Now the question arises whether the Khattar government will fall after breaking the alliance with JJP. Let us understand what the math of assembly says in such a situation.
Know what math says?
Haryana Legislative Assembly has 90 seats. BJP has 41 MLAs, JJP 10 and Congress 30. Apart from this, there are 7 independent MLAs, 1 Haryana Lokhit Party MLA and 1 Indian National Lok Dal MLA. The majority figure in the assembly is 48. 6 out of 7 independent MLAs are with BJP. Gopal Kanda's Haryana Lokhit Party is also with BJP. That means the BJP has the support of a total of 48 MLAs, which is more than the majority figure.
JJP is claiming two seats
According to sources, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala met BJP president JP Nadda in Delhi on Monday, in which no consensus was reached on seat sharing. JJP is claiming two seats Hisar and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, which BJP is not ready to give. After the party executive meeting in Sirsa, Dushyant Chautala claimed Haryana's Hisar and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seats, saying that the way the BJP accommodated and took care of the smaller coalition parties under the NDA alliance, they should do the same. It is hoped that a decision will be taken regarding JJP in Haryana as well.
Preparing to contest single-handedly on 10 Lok Sabha seats
Dushyant Chautala said that apart from this, the party is also preparing to single-handedly contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. We will try to seek two seats of Hisar and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh from BJP on priority basis, but which seat will be given will be decided during the alliance meeting. Dushyant Chautala said that there have been two rounds of talks with the BJP regarding the alliance in the Lok Sabha elections.
Let us tell you that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP won all 10 seats in Haryana. Currently BJP has 9 MPs. The Ambala seat is vacant due to the death of an MP. The special thing is that the BJP had made up its mind to enter the Lok Sabha without any alliance in Haryana. But BJP does not want to be accused of breaking alliance with JJP, hence BJP can field its candidates in all the seats in the state.
