The unfreezing of bank accounts has brought great relief to the victims. The percentage of amount refunded in 2024 is 46.42%, which was only 17.93% in 2023. The total amount put on hold till June 30, 2024 is ₹ 114.90 crore and the amount refunded for 2024 is ₹ 53.34 crore.

This distinction shows that the authorities have taken proactive steps to ensure timely relief to cybercrime victims.
