BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced a few days ago that the new coach will take over the team from the Sri Lanka tour. In such a situation, the board also wants to give them a chance to prepare by announcing it at the earliest. The tenure of the new coach of Team India will be 3.5 years i.e. he will be the coach of Team India till 31 December 2027. During this period Indian team has to play important tournaments like Champions Trophy, 2 World Test Championship, T20 World Cup 2026 and ODI World Cup 2027.
