There is good news for whiskey-wine lovers. The company that makes premium whiskeys like Rampur Whiskey and 8 PM has now launched a new luxury premium whiskey in its portfolio. Following the success of luxury liquor brands like Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin, Indian spirits maker Radico Kheta has launched Spirit of Victory 1999 Pure Malt Whisky, which pays tribute to the brave soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War.

How much will it cost?
Radico Khaitan aims to launch this whiskey at a very affordable price, with expansion to other states after the initial release in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Dedicated to the soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War, the Spirit of Victory has been launched at a starting price of Rs 5,000.
Plans to expand to 30 countries
The company said that Rampur whiskey has seen good traction from the premium spirits category expanding to around 30 countries worldwide and Jaisalmer gin to around 25 countries. The spirit maker said the company has invested in expanding its plant infrastructure to meet Rampur's growing demand for premium whisky.
How much growth?
Liquor maker Radico Khaitan Ltd on Tuesday reported a 22.75 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended December 2023 at Rs. 75.15 crore was recorded. A year ago, in the October-December quarter, the company posted Rs. 61.22 crores consolidated net profit was earned.
Radico Kheta said in a BSE filing that its revenue from operations in the third quarter of the current fiscal rose 34.1 percent to Rs. 4,245.95 crores. In the same period a year ago, it was Rs. 3,166.19 crores. In the December quarter, Radico Khaitan's total expenditure increased by 34.28 percent to Rs. 4,152.65 crores.

The company also sells brands like After Dark Whisky, Contessa Rum, Magic Moments Vodka and in October this year, the company launched Royal Ranthambore Heritage Collection-Royal Crafted Whisky.
