To provide better health services to the poorer sections of the society, Poonawalla Fincorp started 'Mobile Clinic'. There are many villages in the country where there is no medical facility within a distance of 5 to 7 km. Poonawalla Fincorp sends mobile clinics to such areas every week. The company has so far organized 570 such health camps, through which around 44,000 people have been treated and tested. During Covid, the company also donated Rs 5 crore to the PM Care Fund.
Children's lives changed through education
In the year 2021, Poonawalla Fincorp built infrastructure ranging from digital labs to many modern facilities in hundreds of government and trust-run schools across the country. While, 6500 children were provided free meals i.e. mid-day meal in various schools in Kolkata, Nellore, Aurangabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Faridabad and Delhi. For this the company has tied up with ISKCON Food Relief Foundation since 2015. The company has fed 15.20 lakh mid-day meals to 33,000 children.
Apart from this, 647 scholarship schemes named 'Bhanshe Bharat, Toh Pragati Karke Bharat', provision of books, grains, stationery etc. to 7500 children and construction of changing rooms and toilets for girls in West Bengal schools. Poonawalla Fincorp has also done a lot to improve traffic management and increase road safety in the city of Pune.
