First onion and garlic, now the price of lemon has increased. There has been a continuous increase in lemon prices since last one month. At present, the price of lemon is seen high even before the hot days, so the question is how the price will be in summer.

The state is currently experiencing a cold season. The cold has subsided but winter has not left yet. Meanwhile, the onset of summer will start taking effect from next month. Along with this, there will also be an increase in the demand for lemons.

However, at present the income is less recorded in Gujarat. The effect of which is being seen in the price of lemon. The price of lemon is currently seen two to three times higher than last month.

The price of lemon which was seen at Rs 600 to Rs 800 per maund last month i.e. a month ago in the wholesale vegetable market, is currently seen at Rs 1800 to Rs 2000. When looking at the price per kg, lemons are being sold at around one hundred to one and a half hundred rupees.

In the beginning of the year, the revenue of lemons in Gujarat comes from South India. In which there is a huge income of lemons especially from Hyderabad these days. However, the climatic conditions in South India have affected the income of lemons.

Unseasonal rains and storms in the southern state have reduced the yield of the lemon crop. A similar effect is being seen in Maharashtra too. In such a situation, the new income will not start and the prices will skyrocket. However, prices are expected to come down with the new revenue.
