Entry into IPL 2025 after retirement, RCB given big responsibility 30 days after retirement

Dinesh Karthik has taken retirement after the completion of IPL 2024 season. He played the role of wicketkeeper as well as finisher for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He also won the hearts of the fans with his dhunadhar batting. After retirement, he has once again returned to RCB. This time it is not a batsman or a wicketkeeper but the RCB franchise has assigned a new name for IPL 2025.

Dinesh Karthik played his last match in IPL 2024 on May 22. His team Royal Challengers Bangalore also qualified for the playoffs after defeating Chennai Super Kings but were eliminated from the trophy race against Rajasthan Royals. He announced his retirement from all formats on 1 June after the completion of the final match on 26 May. After a month of retirement, he has re-entered RCB. Royal Challengers Bangalore appointed him as their batting coach and mentor for IPL 2025. The franchise announced this on its social media.

Dinesh Karthik has also given a special message while entering RCB. He said that his team came close to the trophy but could not win it, now after becoming the batting coach, Karthik said that winning the trophy will remain. For which he has sought the support of the fans.

Performed brilliantly in IPL 2024

Dinesh Karthik played an important role in taking RCB to the playoffs in IPL 2024. He was the top-10 batsman of the tournament. He scored a total of 330 runs. Karthik has played a total of 257 matches in IPL. During this time he has scored 4842 runs. Which includes 22 half-centuries.
