New Delhi: According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, had the lowest single-day box office take on its eleventh day of release. Despite its lengthy running time and divisive reviews, Animal has been grossing massive sums at the box office, even on its worst day.
With a 65.28 per cent drop from Sunday’s profits, the Ranbir Kapoor-led film’s second Monday box office take was Rs 13 crore. With this, the film’s total domestic collection reached 443.27 crore, with the Hindi version accounting for 400.37 crore of the total.
In its first week of release, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, amassed a respectable collection of Rs 337.58 crore, with the Hindi-speaking market contributing the most with Rs 300.81 crore.
Animal’s daily profits were subject to a range of fluctuations as it entered its second week of operation. On the second Friday, which was designated as Day 8, the film’s earnings had a little decrease of -5.28 per cent, although it still managed to make Rs 22.95 crore.
With a collection of Rs 34.74 crore, the next day, Day 9, showed a tremendous recovery compared to the previous day. As the tenth day progressed, this rising trend was maintained moderately, with revenues exceeding 36 crores.
A shift in pace was brought about on Day 11, with early estimates suggesting a severe decrease in receipts at Rs 13.00 crore. This is a major loss of -65.28 per cent from Day 10. With the Hindi market being the major contributor, the overall collections reached a total of Rs 443.27 crore as a result of this.
Animal had a similar level of occupancy for Telugu programmes and 19.73 per cent for Tamil shows on Monday, according to the data. The Hindi shows had a comparable level of occupancy as well.
The Bollywood film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has also broken the 700-crore mark and became an all-time blockbuster with a total of Rs 717 crore globally. With this, the film has surpassed Gadar 2, which earned a total of Rs 686 crore.
