HCLTech, India's third-largest software exporter, is rolling out a new policy under which it will link employees' leave with their office attendance. That is, the office employees will get leave based on the days filled in the office and attendance.

The company's move is aimed at bringing employees back to the office after the Covid pandemic. At HCLTech, employees have to come to the office for work at least three days a week and at least 12 days a month. If employees do not do so, their leave will be deducted for each day they miss.

In case of HCLTech, employees have to be in office for three days in a week and minimum 12 days in a month, otherwise their leave will be deducted on daily basis,

A hybrid work model was adopted this year

HCLTech shifted to a hybrid work model earlier this year and has asked employees to work from the office three days a week. A company employee said that HR has started informing some teams about this update through email from this week. Once our holidays are over, it can also lead to a loss in our salary.

How many holidays do HCLTech employees get?

Currently, HCLTech employees who have been in office for less than three years are granted 18 annual leaves and one personal leave. At the same time, employees who have worked in the company for more than three years get about 20 annual holidays and two personal holidays.
