30 passengers were injured in this accident
He said at least 30 passengers were injured in the accident. Local people along with Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army rescued these people. According to media reports, Gautam KC said that the injured were rescued and after first aid at a local health facility, they were taken to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Police arrested the bus driver
According to the news, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Police have arrested the bus driver. The death toll is expected to rise considering the injuries sustained by the passengers when the bus plunged into the river. The report said that armed police forces and a team from the Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar, Chitwan were also involved in the rescue operation.
