Breaking NEET UG 2024 News: 1563 students will have to retake the exam, scorecards of all these will be cancelled.

Supreme Court heard 3 petitions filed in NEET UG Result 2024 case. The Supreme Court in its order said that the exam will be re-conducted on June 23 and the result will be out on June 30. Therefore, there will be no impact on the counseling starting from July 6.

The central government had told the Supreme Court that it has been decided to cancel the scorecards of 1563 candidates who were given grace marks. The Center said that these 1563 students will be given the option to re-appear in the exam. The Supreme Court has given its order in this regard.

The decision was taken after a meeting held on June 12

Advocate J Sai Deepak said that we are against giving arbitrary grace marks and adopting unfair methods. It has to be said that this is subject to the outcome of the petition pending here otherwise it will fail. Advocate Kanu Aggarwal, appearing for NTA, said that the decision was taken after the meeting held on June 12.

The committee feels that 1563 candidates will have to re-appear for the NEET exam. All scorecards issued to 1563 candidates will be cancelled. A re-examination will be conducted, those who do not appear in this re-examination will have to appear in the examination without compensation marks.

Agarwal said those who did not appear would have their original marks without compensatory marks, but 1563 would have the option to retake the exam. The Supreme Court said you need to redo it.
