According to the statistics of the Election Commission, Asaduddin Owaisi has received more than 6 lakh 61 thousand votes. While his rival BJP candidate Madhvi Lata got more than 3 lakh 23 thousand votes.

Congress held Hyderabad seat from 1952 to 1984

At the same time, from 1984 to 2004, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, father of AIMIM candidate Asaduddin Owaisi, continuously won from the Hyderabad seat. Since then the seat has been held by Asaduddin, leading Owaisi to win the seat for the fifth time in a row by a landslide. It is worth mentioning that Asaduddin Owaisi contested the election for the first time in the year 2004 and won by 1 lakh votes. After this, he won elections in 2009, 2014 and 2019 as well and Hyderabad has become his stronghold.

K Annamalai's defeat in Tamil Nadu

As for Tamil Nadu, BJP's firebrand leader K Annamalai is trailing in the Coimbatore seat and is almost certain to lose, while DMK's Ganapathi Rajkumar is leading him by more than 1 lakh votes.
