Another great electric car is coming, it will have a range of 460 km

MG Motors is preparing to launch another electric car in the Indian market. This will be the company's third EV to come to India. It will be named MG Cloud EV and it could be launched by September this year. The car comes with Wuling and Baojun branding in the Indonesian and Chinese markets.

The MG Cloud EV model coming to the global market has a length of around 4.3 km and a wheelbase of 2700mm. The design of the car is quite basic and features like full LED light bars at the front and rear, flush door handles, headlamps mounted on the front bumper. This electric car will come in a 5-seater layout.

Features of MG Cloud EV

Images of a testing model of the MG Cloud EV have already been leaked, revealing its exterior styling. Its cabin will also have an attractive design. It will have a floating screen, digital display instrument cluster and a large touchscreen in the center. The car will also offer a full recline front seat backrest, also called sofa mode, and will come with a 135-degree backseat recline function.

In the Indonesian market, this car comes with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) technology and a 360 degree camera feature.

Battery and range of MG Cloud EV

In the global market, this EV comes with two battery pack options. There is a 37.9kWh battery pack, which gives a range of up to 360 kilometers on a single charge. Another is the 50.6kWh battery pack, which can give a range of up to 460 kilometers on a single charge. Its powertrain setup consists of a regular magnet synchronous motor, mounted on the front axle, generating 134bhp. However, there is currently no information about which model will be brought to the Indian market.

Price of MG Cloud EV

MG Motors currently has two electric cars. One is the MG Comet, priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh to Rs. 9.53 lakh is between. Another is the MG ZS EV, priced at Rs 25.44 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom. It is expected that the new Cloud EV model will be priced under Rs 20 lakh.
