CAA will be implemented in every corner of the country - Amit Shah
Amit Shah said that CAA will be applicable in every corner of the country. The CAA will not apply only to some states in the North East where dual privileges are granted, as well as some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan which are under privileges. There is a provision of an inline permit and the CAA will not apply to tribal areas included in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution.
Some areas are excluded in the application - Amit Shah
The tribal composition will not be altered in the slightest. A provision has been made in the Act itself that wherever there is an inline permit and where the areas included in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution, the CAA will not apply. Even the application with their address will not be uploaded on the portal, so there is no question of applying CAA. That area is also excluded in the application.
Clarifying further, Amit Shah said that it does not mean that those people cannot become citizens of India, they cannot become citizens only of the protected area with the inline permit given in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India. One can become a citizen of India.
