Ahmedabad will no longer have to burn in the heat on signals, 100 signals will be off in the afternoon

Summer has already started and the scorching heat has already started at the beginning of summer. The vehicle drivers plying on the road are facing the heat during the afternoon, while the traffic personnel performing their duty on the road are also having to bear the heat. Special arrangements have been made by the system to provide relief to the vehicle drivers and traffic personnel from the scorching heat.

As the summer season progresses, the scorching heat is also being felt. Ahmedabad has the highest heat temperature in the state. At such a time, the people moving on the road, the drivers and the policemen doing the traffic work are having to bear a lot of trouble.

Decision to keep signals off at noon

Especially during the afternoon period, people are not leaving the house or office unless necessary, but the needy people move from the road, and the policemen are also performing their duty throughout the afternoon. At such a time now the traffic department has decided to keep some signals closed during the afternoon so that the people do not have to bear the trouble. So that the vehicle drivers do not stand in the sun.

Drivers above 100 signals will get relief

As many as 305 traffic signals have been placed across Ahmedabad to regulate traffic. Out of which 285 signals are operational. Out of which 100 signals will be closed during summer between 12 noon to 4 pm i.e. such signals have been placed in blinking. Above these 100 signals the vehicle drivers will not have to stop at the signal for traffic regulation. Due to which the drivers will also get relief from heat.

In addition, the time of other signals with high traffic has been reduced by up to 50% so that the vehicular movement will not cause people to stand in the sun for long. Apart from this, the traffic department is also considering to build talpatri or mandap on four roads where the signals will be on. So that the drivers do not feel hot while waiting for the signal to open. The traffic department can take a decision about that also in the coming time.

Special arrangement to avoid heat

In the same way that the problems of the people are taken into consideration by the system, special pouches have been given to the traffic workers who are on duty on the road in the heat, so that they do not get dehydrated by the traffic police with the help of the corporation. Drinking which can protect against heat. Apart from this, ordinary citizens can also get these pouches from the traffic police when needed. Due to which excess heat can be relieved.
