AHMEDABAD: Killing due to dispute over bike key, three accused arrested

Another crime of murder has been reported in Ahmedabad. The murder of a young man who was sleeping in the temple was carried out. After the arrest of the accused, it has been revealed in the police investigation that the murder was due to an old quarrel over the key of the bike.

Sabarmati police have registered a case of murder and arrested three accused in the murder incident. It has also come to light that the arrested accused have criminal history. The Sabarmati police are now investigating them further.

Three accused were arrested

The accused arrested by the city's Sabarmati police have been identified as Ajay alias Chacko Thakor, Rahul alias Khiskoli Chauhan and Karthik Rajput. These three accused reside in Oganaj, Sabarmati and Chandlodia areas and have been arrested for the crime of murder. Talking in detail, on last Saturday 6 July 2024, these three accused killed together with another accused. A 23-year-old youth named Amarjit Chauhan was killed while sleeping on the porch of Mahakali Mata temple behind Saraswatinagar in New Ranip.

As Ramakant felt hot at night, he went outside the house at 11:00 pm to sleep on the temple porch. Where Amarjit Chauhan, who lives next to him, also came to sleep on the same roof of the temple late at night. Around 4:30 AM, Ramakant was woken up by shouting and saw Amarjit Chauhan being beaten by four people with sharp weapons and sticks.

Ajay Thakor, Rahul Thakor was assaulted with a sharp weapon. When Ramakanth saw that the other 2 youths were being beaten indiscriminately with a stick. The accused Amarjit Chauhan was taken to Sarawara as the four persons escaped after being beaten up. On the way to take Amarjit for treatment, he told Ramakant that he used to live at Chanakyapuri. Ajay Thakor and a young man named Rahul Khishkoli had an argument over asking for the keys of the motorcycle.

From then on he frequently threatened himself. Because of whose fear, he changed his house from there and came to live in Sabarmati area. Four days earlier, accused Ajay Thakor and Rahul as well as Pappu Thakor and Karthik were again threatened. In which he threatened Amarjit in Saraswatinagar area that your grain is filled with water, he will settle you anytime.

The accused have a criminal history

A case of murder was registered in Sabarmati police station in this matter when the complainant died while reaching the hospital with Amarjeet. Sabarmati police arrested the accused and conducted investigation. Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the arrested accused have a criminal history.

In which as many as five crimes have been registered against Ajay Thakor in Wadaj, Naranpura and Sola police stations. While 9 crimes have been registered against Rahul Chauhan alias Khiskoli including Sola, Sabarmati, Wadj Police Station. While four crimes have been registered against the accused Karthik Rajput including at Sabarmati, Naranpura, Sola police stations. Police have also seized two vehicles from the accused.
