Rahul Gandhi had made a statement during the address that the BJP had accused the minorities of unfair treatment. It has also been expunged from the record of proceedings of the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the entire House as well as the country.

When BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting Hinduism, Priyanka Gandhi defended Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka said that Rahul Gandhi did not insult Hinduism. Sadhu Santos also criticized Rahul Gandhi's statement and demanded an apology from Hindu society. Mahamandaleshwar Awadheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara objected to Rahul Gandhi's statement and appealed for an apology. Rahul Gandhi mentioned Abhay Mudra while speaking in Parliament.
