Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan in Thimpu on Sunday. Meanwhile, he announced the signing of an agreement to set up a 570 MW green hydro plant in Bhutan.

Adani Group will bring hydro and infra projects

Gautam Adani said his vision for Bhutan was inspired by the eco-friendly masterplan of the Gale Phu Mindfulness City, which includes a large computing center and data facility. He said that the Adani group is keen to work together to set up hydro plants in Bhutan and other infra projects here.

This may be announced soon. Gautam Adani said that he is excited to cooperate with these projects along with green energy management for a friendly country.

Let it be known that in November last year, Gautam Adani met the King of Bhutan and said that he was looking for an opportunity to contribute to green infrastructure development for the Adani Group.

Before meeting Adani, Raja met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.
