This was the first major meeting of the third term of the government. In this meeting of the Council of Ministers, gifts to Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Haryana were announced. After the Council of Ministers meeting, the Prime Minister also held a separate meeting with some ministers including Home and Defence.

Industrial cities announced in 10 states

Giving information about the meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the proposal to build 12 industrial cities in the country has been passed. The government has taken this decision keeping employment in mind. Among the 10 states where industrial cities have been announced, one city is in Maharashtra and one in Haryana. Elections have been announced in Haryana, while Maharashtra is slated to hold elections later this year.

Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved 3 infra railway projects connecting Odisha, Jharkhand, Bengal, Chhattisgarh. Jharkhand is also going to hold elections later this year. In the meeting, the Prime Minister said, focus on how to overcome the problems faced by women and the poor. He repeated the mantra of Perform, Reform, Transform and Inform.

Why the meeting of the BJP organization?

BJP held an organization meeting on the second day after the meeting of Modi's Council of Ministers today. The main issue of this meeting is to decide the candidate for the Haryana elections and to pacify the rebel contenders. Leaders like Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh, Sudha Yadav have also been called in the meeting.

It is being said that Indrajit Singh is upset. The reason for this is the claim for the ticket. Indrajit is demanding at least 7 tickets from the party for his daughter Aarti and his supporters in the Ahirwal belt.

Ahirwal belt has 20 assembly seats, out of which BJP won 12 seats in the last election.

The government is also busy with damage control

Efforts are also being made at the government and institutional level to do damage control in cases where damage is feared. Recently the government withdrew the letter of appointment from lateral entry in UPSC. Similarly, the Broadcasting Bill and Wakf Bill were also withdrawn by the government.
