Hint of Gift Nifty

Gift Nifty was trading at 24,340, a premium of around 140 points from the previous close of Nifty futures. This bodes well for Indian stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty.

Business in global markets

In the US market yesterday, the S&P 500 index closed above 5,500 for the first time. Most analysts have raised their targets. The Dow Jones was up 162 points, the S&P 500 index was up 34 points and the Nasdaq was up 150 points. Tesla saw an increase of 10%.

The rise in the US market followed a statement by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, in which he said the FOMC had had some success in reducing inflation. But, before lowering the rates, some more data has to be considered. The 10-year US bond yield fell 4.3 basis points to 4.44%.

Talking about the Asian markets, there is a bullish trend here today. Japan's Nikkei index and South Korea's Kospi index are bullish. Taiwan's market is also seeing growth.

Statistics of FIIs – DIIs

Foreign institutional investors sold the cash market yesterday. At the same time, domestic institutional investors bought into the cash market yesterday. In the cash market on Tuesday, FIIs raised Rs. 2,000 crore was seen in sales. At the same time, DII bought shares worth Rs 648 crore yesterday.

The Sensex-Nifty slipped after touching record highs on Tuesday

Indian stock market benchmark indices closed marginally lower on Tuesday after touching fresh record highs. Sensex touched an all-time high of 79855.87 and Nifty 24,236.35. The Sensex closed down 34.74 points or 0.04% at 79,441.45 while the Nifty 50 closed down 18.10 points or 0.07% at 24,123.85.
