Zomato, Swiggy have made special arrangements, employees will get relief from heat

Considering the heat, e-commerce companies have set up zones across the country where employees can rest. Apart from this, some basic facilities have also been created. So that the delivery partners can get some relief in the scorching heat.

Many states of India are currently in the grip of extreme heat and heat wave. Temperatures have reached around 50 degrees in many cities of North India, including the capital Delhi. Meanwhile, food delivery and e-commerce companies like Zomato, Blinkit and Flipkart have made special arrangements to protect their delivery partners from loo and heat.

Food delivery company Zomato has created more than 450 spaces for delivery partners across the country where employees can rest. Along with comfort, delivery partners will be provided with free cold water, mobile charging, mobile points and clean toilets at this location.

Special arrangement in 250 cities

Keeping in view the rising heat across the country, Zomato has arranged special relaxation for its delivery employees at more than 450 locations in 250 cities. At these locations, delivery partners will have access to clean and cold drinking water as well as glucose, juice etc.

According to a media report, Zomato CAO Rakesh Ranjan said that if any delivery partners' health deteriorates, they will be provided immediate ambulance facility. This facility has been launched in 530 cities. Zomato has also requested customers to avoid ordering food in the afternoon unless absolutely necessary.

Flipkart has arranged this

E-commerce company Flipkart's HR Leader Prajakta Kanaglekar said that considering the heat of the moment, we have started distributing extra glucose and ingredients to all our delivery partners. Along with this we have provided fans and coolers, so that our delivery partners can get some relief. Along with this we advise them from time to time to prevent heat stroke and heatstroke.

Swiggy Instamart also arranged this

Along with Zomato, Swiggy's delivery app Swiggy Instamart has also launched a similar special feature for its delivery employees. Swiggy Instamart has created more than 900 such zones in major cities, where employees can get amenities like water, toilets, mobile charging etc. along with rest.
