After becoming the WPL champions this year, the pressure has increased on RCB to win the IPL. It is only the second season RCB have won the trophy in the WPL. After which the enthusiasm of the men's team of Royal Challengers Bangalore has definitely increased. RCB will try to end the 17-year wait by winning the IPL this year.

RCB's Probable Playing XI for IPL 2024

When RCB starts thinking about the perfect playing XI for their most powerful team i.e. IPL 2024, they will have to make tough decisions like dropping their best strike rate player. This will happen because according to the IPL rule book, only 4 players can be foreigners in the playing eleven of each team. And despite having a better strike rate on this scale, Will Jacks doesn't get a place in the playing eleven.

The opening pair of Virat-Du Plessis

Will Jacks is an opener and if we look at his strike rate in openers from 2022 till now, he will be far ahead of RCB's regular opener Virat Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis. Will Jacks has a strike rate of 163.2. Virat Kohli's opening strike rate is 126.1 while Faf du Plessis's is 139.9. But despite the high strike rate, Will Jacks will not be able to play as Faf du Plessis is already the overseas player in the opener, who is also the captain. Apart from this, he has more experience than Will Jacks. His tuning is also set in opening with Virat.

Maxwell-Green-Patidar in the middle order

RCB will have Virat and du Plessis in the top order and players like Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green will also be there to strengthen the team in the middle order. Green is RCB's most expensive player, an all-rounder. RCB cannot even think of dropping this player who was included in the team for Rs 17 crore, otherwise Will Jacks could have played in the middle order as well. Apart from this, Maxwell is a huge match-winner in his own right, both with the ball and the bat.

As far as RCB's bowling is concerned, Mohammad Siraj will be the leader of the pace attack. Apart from him, Akash Deep and Yash Dayal will be the main fast bowlers of this team. Reece Topley can be included in the squad as a foreign bowler. Karn Sharma can be seen handling the spin for RCB.
