Swollen toes problem in winter?:

Applying garlic oil, lemon-turmeric, washing feet with warm water and massaging will provide instant relief.

As the temperature starts to drop in winter, many problems start to increase. One of the problems is cold feet. In which, due to cold, the toes become red and swollen. There is pain and itching that is difficult to ignore.

It is necessary to protect the feet in winter. For this, wear socks and shoes and take special care of foot hygiene. If the toes are swollen, the cure is hidden in the kitchen itself. There are some things that can be done to overcome this problem.

Why are the legs swollen in the cold?

In winter, the blood vessels constrict due to which the blood circulation in the legs decreases. Standing in cold water or sitting or standing for long periods of time can also cause such swelling. Sometimes it is also caused by a skin infection. Due to all these reasons, the toes get swollen in the cold.

Washing feet with warm water

Washing feet with warm water is very beneficial in winter when the toes are swollen. Hot water improves blood circulation. It reduces the compression of the veins in the legs. Due to which the swelling of the feet starts to reduce quickly. Therefore, washing the feet with warm water removes swelling of the feet and also improves blood circulation.

Use of Lemon-Turmeric

Whenever the toes are swollen during the cold season, turmeric and lemon should be used. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce swelling. Applying a mixture of these two on the feet increases the blood circulation and the swelling also starts to reduce quickly.

Massage the feet with oil

Make a paste by mixing some rock salt in mustard oil. Apply this paste on the swollen feet and massage gently. While massaging, rub slowly from the toes to the knees. It will provide immediate relief. After the massage, put socks on your feet to keep them warm. You can also use olive oil instead of mustard oil if you wish.

Apply Black Pepper Paste

Grind some black pepper and mix it with a teaspoon of mustard oil. Now apply it on the swollen fingers and massage. It will give you relief from itching and inflammation. Also, this paste of black pepper and mustard oil is effective in relieving pain.

Aloe vera gel is also beneficial

Apply aloe vera gel on fingers to reduce swelling. It reduces the swelling in the legs and provides comfort. Also, aloe vera acts as anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory for feet. Which gives relief and also helps in healing.

Apply rhinoceros flower paste

Soak some rhinoceros flowers in water with one teaspoon of salt. Now keep your feet in this water for some time. It gradually reduces your swelling and helps in relieving itching. In fact, rhinoceros flower extract is a natural antiseptic that helps the skin heal faster. Also, its anti-inflammatory properties are effective in reducing swelling.

Apply a paste of turmeric and honey

Both turmeric and honey are anti-bacterial and both are helpful in reducing skin inflammation. When the fingers feel swollen, grind raw turmeric and mix it with honey and apply it on the fingers. This remedy will help reduce your pain and swelling.

Yogurt paste is beneficial

Yogurt is helpful in reducing itching. Also, curd is very beneficial for people who have red and itchy skin. In fact, its vitamin C and anti-fungal properties reduce infection and soothe the skin. By applying it regularly, the pain and swelling also starts to reduce and the effective treatment of the skin starts quickly.

Apply coconut oil and camphor

Applying coconut oil mixed with camphor helps to reduce swelling and redness of the fingers. Coconut oil and camphor first act as anti-infectives and reduce itching. This then relieves the inflammation and helps reduce the swelling and pain of the fingers.

Use Clove Oil

Apply onion juice

Massage with garlic oil

Garlic oil can also be applied to swollen fingers. Saute 5 to 6 cloves of garlic in mustard oil. Gently massage hands and feet with warm oil, you will feel relaxed.
