Share Market Opening Bell: Buying has been seen in the stock market today on Thursday. Major indices opened with new all-time highs. The market is being supported by strong global cues. Gift Nifty has also crossed the record level of 22650. Earlier on Wednesday, the Sensex rose 408 points to close at 74,085 for the first time.

A strong signal from global markets

After two consecutive days of decline, growth was also seen in the American market yesterday. However, stocks such as Apple, Alphabet and Disney continued to sell off. On Wednesday, the S&P 500 index and the Nasdaq closed up 0.51% and 0.58%, respectively. The Dow Jones was also up about a quarter of a percent.

Talking about the Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei index once again hit a new record high today. Currently this index is witnessing an increase of 0.15%. The Taiwan market is also witnessing an increase of around 1%. South Korea's Kospi index is trading up half a percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was marginally lower. China's Shanghai Composite Index is also showing bullish signs. China's trade figures are due to be released today.

After Powell's statement for US bond yields, the bond market saw movement. The 10-year US Treasury yield fell 3 basis points to 4.108%. The 2-year Treasury yield fell 1 basis point to 4.56%.

Statistics of FIIs-DII

Wednesday saw buying by institutional investors in the cash market. Foreign institutional investors bought shares worth a total of ₹ 2766.75 crore in the cash market yesterday. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth ₹ 2149.88 crore in the cash market yesterday. The impact of two big block deals of Zomato and Samvardhan Motherson was also visible in these figures.
