Indication of foreign markets

Global markets are getting mixed signals today. Yesterday in the American market, the S&P 500 index managed to cross 5,000 for the first time. Yesterday, the Dow Jones closed up 49 points and the Nasdaq up 37 points. Small cap shares also saw a boom here. The small cap company arm jumped 47% after strong results. Walt Disney's results after December 2020 have also been excellent.

Most Asian markets are closed today. Markets in China, South Korea and Taiwan are closed for Chinese New Year. However, trading will take place for half the session in Singapore and Hong Kong. Today, Japan's Nikkei index once again managed to hit its 34-year high.

Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth ₹ 4933.78 crore in the cash market yesterday i.e. Thursday. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth ₹5512.32 crore in the cash market yesterday. The month of February has seen sales of ₹ 7822.29 crore so far by FIIs. At the same time, so far this month, DII has received a total of Rs. A purchase of 9083.28 crores has been seen.
