Lo Bolo, After Congress win in Rajya Sabha, 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans raised in Karnataka, BJP shares video
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that Congress workers raised slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad" inside the assembly while celebrating Congress party leader Nasir Hussain's victory in the Rajya Sabha elections. The Congress dismissed the claims and said its workers were only raising slogans for Naseer Hussain. On Tuesday, the Congress won three out of four Rajya Sabha seats in Karnataka.
Soon after the Rajya Sabha election results were declared, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared a video of Congress workers celebrating the victory of Congress party leader Nasir Hussain. Through this video, Amit Malviya has alleged that slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' are being raised in it.
Malviya said, “Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's political secretary Naseer Hussain won the Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka. Congress' obsession with Pakistan is dangerous. It is leading to partition of India. We cannot tolerate it. He has said so."
Many other BJP leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar and Karnataka leader CT Ravi, have also shared videos on social media with the same claim.
Rejecting the BJP's claim, Congress leader Nasir Hussain said that he only heard slogans like 'Nasir Hussain Zindabad', 'Congress Party Zindabad', 'Nasir Khan Zindabad' and 'Nasir Saab Zindabad'. “I have not heard anything that was shown in the media. Had I heard, I would have objected, condemned the statement and demanded necessary action against him,” said Nasir Hussain.
Karnataka BJP has filed a complaint against Syed Naseer Hussain and his supporters for raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the assembly. In this regard, BJP leader and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said, 'After the victory of Naseer Hussain from the Congress party in the Rajya Sabha elections, Pakistani slogans were raised by the Congress party workers in the Assembly. Instead of condemning it, Naseer Hussain is trying to mislead and say that someone is spreading fake news, which is more dangerous. When the Congress party was in power, it was friendly with Pakistan. Now they are directly supporting Pakistan. So I strongly condemn this and I ask Rahul Gandhi what is his opinion on this.
