In the T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan lost their first match badly and hosts USA created history by beating them in a sensational fashion. In the match played in Dallas, America created the first upset of the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating Pakistan in the Super Over. Playing in their first T20 World Cup, the USA first restricted Pakistan to just 160 runs before hitting a last-ball four to tie the match. After this, he did not allow Pakistan to score even 19 runs in the Super Over and won the match to register the biggest win in his cricket history.

In the super over, America batted first and Harmeet Singh came in to bat with Aaron Jones. Mohammad Amir bowled a super over for Pakistan but a poor line and sluggish fielding saw Pakistan concede 18 runs to USA. In reply, Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman came from Pakistan, while Saurabh Netrawalkar took over the bowling.

Unlike Pakistan, USA had a good start. Steven Taylor (12) and captain Monank Patel put on 36 runs in 5 overs for the first wicket, after which Naseem Shah got the wicket of Taylor. Pakistan had a good chance to apply pressure here but it backfired. Captain Patel had a terrific partnership with last match hero Adrinj House. Both of them launched a measured attack against Pakistan, in which, along with amazing boundaries, they also scored quick singles and doubles.

A 68-run partnership between the two took America past 100 in 13 overs. Monak (50) completed his half-century in just 36 balls. It was here that Haris Rauf returned for Pakistan by dismissing House and Mohammad Amir dismissed Monanak.
