An incident of suicide by falling under a train has come to light in the state. The incident of father and son committing suicide by falling under the train has come to light in Botad. The incident took place near the railway gate near Kundali village in Botad. A train going from Botad to Surendranagar committed suicide. It has been found that the deceased father and son are natives of Dharpipla village of Ranpur taluk. After getting the information about the incident, the railway police immediately reached the spot and conducted further investigation. The cause of father-son's suicide is not yet known.

On the other hand, earlier too, a family committed suicide by falling under the train. 4 members of the same family committed suicide by falling under the train at Nitapam railway station in Botad. Among those who committed suicide, 2 girls and 2 men were found. All the four deceased died by jumping under the Bhavnagar-Gandhigram train. On coming to know about the incident, high police officials along with officials of Botad Railway Department reached the spot.

The preliminary investigation of the police revealed that the family of the suicide victim was a resident of Sakhpar village. Among the deceased were 42-year-old Mangabhai Vijuda, two daughters aged 19 and 17, and a 21-year-old son. According to sources, Mangabhai was released on bail 10 days ago. Against whom a crime was registered at Garhda police station under a fight with a family brother.
