The Indian cricket team is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, as reports suggest the BCCI may ask the ICC to host the match in Dubai or Sri Lanka. BCCI sources have given this information to ANI. Relations between India and Pakistan have not been good for some time now. Then the final decision in this matter will depend on the central government. For which there is no series between the two teams, matches are played between India and Pakistan only during ICC tournaments and Asia Cup.

Will the Asia Cup formula apply?

Asia Cup 2023 was hosted by Pakistan but even then the Indian team did not tour Pakistan. The tournament was hosted in a hybrid model. Four matches were played in Pakistan and the other in Sri Lanka. Team India played all their matches in Sri Lanka and the final match was also played here. Then BCCI can propose a hybrid model against ICC this time too.

All the matches of Team India are held in Lahore

As per the draft schedule, Team India has to play all their matches in Lahore. Team India will play their first match against Bangladesh on February 20. Then the second match will be played against New Zealand on February 23. So India will play the third and final match of the group stage against tournament hosts and arch-rivals Pakistan on March 1.
