A similar situation prevails over some more parts of South Arabian Sea, Maldives, Comorin area, parts of Lakshadweep area as well as parts of Kerala, south-west and central Bay of Bengal, north-east Bay of Bengal and parts of north. The eastern state is favorable for advancing southwest monsoon during this period.

A well-marked low pressure area over northeast Assam and surrounding areas has transformed into a low pressure area over the same region. The associated cyclonic circulation extends into the mid-tropical levels. There is a cyclonic circulation over northwest Uttar Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation is 5.8 km above mean sea level over South Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas. A new Western Disturbance may hit Northwest India from May 30.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with scattered heavy falls is likely over Lakshadweep, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sikkim and Northeast India.
Light rain is possible over Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka and Konkan and Goa.
Thunderstorm may occur over parts of Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.
Heatwave conditions are likely to occur in most parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh today.
Heat wave conditions may prevail in some areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Parts of central and south-eastern Rajasthan received light rain.
Heatwave conditions occurred at 1 or 2 places over Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, several parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, Himachal Pradesh.
Heat wave conditions persisted over parts of Vidarbha, Jammu and Kashmir and one or two places in Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh.
