Amazing! Ancient idol of Lord Vishnu found in river, exactly like 'Ram Lalla' of Ayodhya, 1000 years old

These centuries-old sculptures have been found near Devsugur village in Raichur district. The local people informed that the idols found include Dashavatar of Lord Krishna and Shivlinga. Some people even say that these idols closely resemble the recent Ayodhya Ram temple idol.

Krishna river flows in the state of Karnataka. A bridge was being built over a river in Raichur district. During this construction, two statues were found in the river – a Shivlinga and an ancient statue of the Hindu god Vishnu. To the surprise of the locals, this idol of Vishnu is very similar to the one installed in the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Local people gave information

According to India Today's inputs, the centuries-old idols were found near Devsugur village in the district. People pulled the idols out of the river safely and immediately informed the local administration. The local people present at the site informed that the idols found include Dashavatar and Shivalinga of Lord Krishna. Some even say that this idol resembles the idol of the recent Ayodhya Ram temple.

The statue of Vishnuji found in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram temple looks similar to the 51-inch tall black statue of Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj on 'Krishna Shila'.

Dr. Raichur University Lecturer in Ancient History and Archaeology. Padmaja Desai spoke to news agency PTI about the statue found in the river. He said, that the idol is like Venkateswara described in the Vedas.

There is no eagle in this idol : Dr. Padmaja

“This sculpture has many features. Around it is a sculpture with a bright aura. This sculpture depicts the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. These are Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Rama, Krishna, Buddha and Kalki.”

Dr. Padmaja also said that this idol does not have an eagle, which is usually seen in Vishnu idols. Archaeologists believe that this statue may belong to the 11th or 12th century. He says that it is possible that the idol was in a temple and was thrown into the river when the temple was demolished.
