Strong shaking in Taiwan after Japan, 7.5-magnitude earthquake shakes buildings, collapses

A major earthquake jolted Taiwan today. Due to which the whole island shook and buildings collapsed. Japan has issued a tsunami warning for the southern island group of Okinawa. The Japan Meteorological Agency has predicted a tsunami of up to 3 meters after the earthquake. About half an hour later he was told that the first wave of the tsunami had already hit the coasts of Miyako and Yeyama islands.

Taiwan's earthquake agency put the magnitude at 7.2, while the US Geological Survey said it was 7.5. Then the earthquake shook the foundations of buildings in the eastern city of Hulien, Taiwan. The tremors of the earthquake were felt in the capital, Taipei.

The earthquake has destroyed many buildings and caused extensive damage in Hualien, Taiwan. Speed ​​train service has been stopped. People can be seen leaving from the underground railway station. Taiwan is showing the most powerful earthquake in the last 25 years.
