Share Market Opening Bell: Today, on Wednesday, the stock market has started with a boom. Major market indices were forecast to show recovery ahead of weekly expiry. Gift Nifty is trading above 21900 with modest strength. Sensex was up 218 points at 72,228 at 9.18 am. Nifty also rose by 72 points.
There are mixed signals from the global market. Earlier on Tuesday, the Sensex closed down 736 points at 72,012. The GIFT Nifty was trading around the 21,910 level, about 22 points higher than the previous close of the Nifty futures.

Earlier on Tuesday, Indian stock market indices closed with significant losses amid selling across the board. The Sensex closed down 736.37 points, or 1.01%, at 72,012.05, while the Nifty 50 was down 238.25 points, or 1.08%, at 21,817.45.

Global market signal
Asian markets rallied today ahead of the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, while American stock markets closed at zero on Tuesday. Japanese markets are closed for public holidays. South Korea's Kospi rose 1.12% and the Kosdaq rose 0.34%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures signaled a strong start.
China kept its key lending rates unchanged and the Bank of Japan announced a historic shift in monetary policy. It raised interest rates for the first time in 17 years and tightened its yield curve control policy.
Strong inflation data in the US led to the Fed's first rate cut in June to around 59% from around 69% early last week, according to the CME FedWatch tool, Reuters reported.

The US Stock market indices closed Tuesday with gains led by energy and tech stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 320.33 points to 39,110.76 and the S&P 500 gained 29.09 points, or 0.56%, to 5,178.51. The Nasdaq Composite rose 63.34 points, or 0.39%, to 16,166.79.
