The film has been put on hold due to claims that it contains controversial comments about the Vaishnava sect and hurt the sentiments of Hinduism. In this whole matter, an application was made in the High Court by Krishna devotees and followers of Vallabhacharyaji in Gujarat.

The High Court issued a notice to the film parties
Gujarat High Court has sent a notice to the parties on Maharaj film. The court has ordered to submit the reply by June 18. Shankaracharya Sadanand Saraswatiji's statement on Maharaja film has come out. He said that "Insulting Gods and Goddesses will not be tolerated in the film", Maharaja has acted in an indecent manner in the film and no one can insult Gods and Goddesses by acting. Actors and directors should always keep this in mind.
What is the whole matter?
Justice Sangeeta said that the film should be banned. Some applicants have objected to this. The court has sent a notice. It is being said that the hearing will be held on June 18.
Devotees of Gavan Krishna and Vallabhacharya have filed a petition in this regard. The petition states that the film is based on the Maharaj 1862 Libal case which has a negative impact on public order. He also says that the film also hurts Hinduism.
Also, neither a trailer of the film was released, nor a promotional event was organized to reveal the storyline. If this film is allowed to be released, the religious sentiments of the people may be hurt.
It has also been contended by the petitioner that he has sought immediate action from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to stop the release of the film. However, there has been no response from him yet.
