Big changes in HDFC Bank Credit Card from today, now you have to pay more charges

1 percent additional charge on payment of rent

If you use HDFC Bank credit card to pay rent through third party apps like CRED, PayTM, Cheq, MobiKwik and Freecharge, you will have to pay an additional fee of 1 percent. For this, a maximum limit of Rs 3,000 per transaction has been fixed by the bank.

Such a charge on utility transactions

According to media reports, additional charges are also being levied on utility transactions. However, Rs. No additional charges will be charged on transactions below 50,000, but if the payment value is Rs. 50,000 will be charged at 1 percent, here also the per transaction limit is Rs. 3,000 has been fixed

Duty on Petrol and Diesel

If you make fuel payment through HDFC Bank credit card, now you have to pay extra charge. If the card holder spends Rs. 15,000 of oil will not be charged, but transactions above this amount will incur a 1 percent charge. Talking about the payment of insurance premium, there is no additional charges to be paid on insurance payments.

This new rule in educational payment

Any educational payments made through third party apps will also be charged at the rate of 1 percent, however, no such charge will be levied on direct payments made through the official website of educational institutions or POS machines. Apart from this, international educational payments are also exempted from this fee.
